One of those long and intense walks with friends that are good for the body and the heart.
We climbed one of the mountains overlooking my hometown, Palermo (Sicily), and that gives a breathtaking view because on the one hand we will find the entire city and on the other one the blue sea.
This is one of the most famous nature trails of the nature reserve of Capogallo, a very steep path and uphill (especially the initial part) but it is to be considered as a small token before you can enjoy one of the most beautiful and valuable views of Palermo .
On top of the mountain it is located on Bourbon building, a structure once used for sighting of enemies coming from the sea, now become home to the famous hermit named Israel.
We had the opportunity to meet and exchange some thoughts with him and immediately shows his kindness, his strong spirituality and his desire to convey optimism and confidence in faith.
The whole building is continuously being decorating by Israel.

Una di quelle lunghe ed intense passeggiate con gli amici che fanno bene al corpo e al cuore.
Abbiamo scalato uno dei monti che sovrasta la mia città natale, Palermo, e che dona un panorama mozzafiato perchè da un lato troveremo l'intera città e dall'altro il mare azzurro.
Questa è una delle passeggiate naturalistiche più famose della riserva naturale orientata di Capogallo, un percorso molto ripido ed in salita (soprattutto la parte iniziale) ma è da considerare come un piccolo pegno prima di poter godere di una delle viste più belle e preziose su Palermo.
In cima al monte è situato il semaforo borbonico, ovvero una struttura un tempo utilizzata per l'avvistamento di nemici provenienti dal mare, divenuta oggi la residenza del famoso eremita di nome Israele.
Abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di incontrarlo e di scambiare qualche pensiero con lui e si evince subito la sua gentilezza, la sua fortissima spiritualità e la sua voglia di trasmettere positività e fiducia nella fede.
L'intero edificio è continuamente in fase di decorazione ad opera di Israele.
Nell'ultima foto panoramica, riuscirete a capire la bellezza di questa luogo tra natura, vista sulla citta, cielo e mare ed un tramonto che ha incorniciato per sempre questo momento nei miei ricordi.
